About us
Youth In Need is a project working towards improving the lives of young people affected by poverty in the Arusha region of Tanzania.
The project is based in the district of Monduli, approx. 40km from Arusha.

In Tanzania, the project is focussed upon the needs of both street youth and youth from the Maasai community.
We provide them with:
- protection
- accommodation
- education
- health care
- counselling
- family mediation
- vocational training
The project is also working to raise awareness and strengthen working relationships between all aspects of the local community in Arusha - and ultimately, to empower and support those initiatives that meet the needs of this vulnerable group of young people.
